Family Physician with Expertise in Dermatology for Downtown Vancouver.

The Role

We are looking for a Family Physician with a Special Interest in Dermatology to join a growing team in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. This position would entail full time, 5-day per week clinical work out of the clinic’s beautiful new, iconic location on the seawall in Coal Harbour, one of the most desirable and picturesque enclaves of Downtown Vancouver. While having previous dermatology training or experience is preferred, training opportunities are also offered for those interested.

The Role

The GP/Dermatologist’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide professional patient care at all times and provide a friendly and inviting environment for patients
• Conduct patient skin assessment, treatment planning and implementation, evaluation of treatments for effective outcomes
• Provide consult notes to referring family physicians for new patients
• Perform follow-up care for existing patients and/or refer to an internal general practitioner for continuation of care
• Assist with coaching the nursing team to be able to provide effective patient care
• Participate in training and education opportunities provided by the company
• Adhere to company policies and protocols
• Work with the marketing team to build and promote personal social media presence
• Utilize exceptional communication skills to build relationships with both patients and employees

Requirements

• Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License
• Diploma in Dermatology (e.g., Cardiff Diploma in Practical Dermatology) or equivalent postgraduate dermatology training required
• A strong passion for the cosmetic dermatology field
• Certifications for lasers, Botox, and/or dermal filler an asset, but not required
• Prior experience in the cosmetic and aesthetic medicine industry an asset, but not required
• Newer graduates welcome to apply
