The Role
MDSearch is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Pediatrician to join a well-established community pediatric clinic in Calgary, Alberta. This busy referral-based practice provides comprehensive pediatric care in a supportive, collegial environment with a strong reputation among referring physicians and families. Physicians benefit from an established referral network, flexible scheduling, dedicated administrative support, and the autonomy to build a practice that aligns with their professional interests. While the clinic primarily focuses on referral-based pediatrics, there is also flexibility for physicians interested in providing pediatric primary care.
Schedule
Flexible scheduling available from 1 day per week to full-time (5 days per week). Physicians may also schedule around hospital commitments and other clinical responsibilities.
Requirements
- FRCPC certification in Pediatrics
- Eligible for or currently holding licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based pediatric care
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in community-based pediatric practice
Compensation
Fee-for-service, transparent and simple. You bill your own FFS; overhead is a fixed $600/day (in line with Calgary pediatric clinics), charged only on days worked and reduced for your first few months while you build your panel. Most pediatricians here bill roughly $8,000 gross per week on a four-day schedule — gross billings before overhead and tax; actual earnings vary with patient mix, hours, and administrative time, and provincial fees are currently under renewal. With the waitlist, a general pediatrician’s schedule fills quickly.

- Secure patient communication systems
- AI-enabled EMR platform (implementation underway)
