The Role
MDSearch is seeking a formally trained Family Physician with expertise in medical dermatology to join a growing multidisciplinary health and performance practice in Etobicoke, ON. The practice is focused on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care with a strong emphasis on prevention, preventive medicine, and long-term health optimization, supporting a broad client base seeking sustainable health and performance outcomes through an integrated, collaborative model.
The Role
- Dermatology services: deliver comprehensive dermatological care, including the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer. Conduct comprehensive skin assessments, mole mapping, skin cancer screenings, biopsies, and other procedural and minor surgical dermatology services.
- Patient care: develop individualized, patient-centered treatment plans and provide a high standard of evidence-based care for both OHIP and private services.
- Patient education: educate and counsel patients on skin health, disease prevention, and treatment options, empowering them to take an active role in managing their health.
- Preventive services: perform annual skin screenings and biopsies as needed, ensuring optimal patient comfort and outcomes.
- Team collaboration: work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physician associates, naturopathic doctors, exercise physiologists, and other healthcare providers.
- Documentation: utilize Accuro EMR for all patient encounters and follow-up communications via Medeo.
Qualifications
- Medical degree and valid license to practice in Ontario.
- Formal dermatology training and experience beyond injectables (mole mapping, skin checks, biopsies, etc.) is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Compensation
Time commitment is 1–2 weekdays per week. Compensation includes a daily minimum with potential for long-term earnings under an activity-based model, across a mix of private and OHIP services.
