Hospitalist – Locum, Inuvik.

The Role

MDSearch is recruiting CCFP-trained Hospitalist Physicians to join Inuvik Regional Hospital in Inuvik, NT, the only hospital facility serving the Beaufort-Delta region.

The Role

• Provide inpatient care for both adult and pediatric patients.
• No formal hospitalist certification is required, but candidates must be comfortable managing a broad inpatient scope across all ages.

Requirements

• CCFP (required)
• Comfortable caring for adult and pediatric inpatients
• Eligible for licensure in the Northwest Territories

Compensation

Hourly rate (no fee for service), along with on-call remuneration.

• Travel and accommodations fully covered (meals not included)
• Travel stipend up to $2,000 for locums travelling to Inuvik (based on travel time)
• Locum blocks are typically 1-2 weeks, with longer assignments available

Licensing & Credentialing

Not licensed yet: NWT licensing and credentialing procedures takes 6 weeks to complete and is quite similar to other jurisdictions. The initial licensing and registration fee in the NWT is $383.
